My Experience
Dr. Crystal Taylor moved to Kansas City to pursue her education at the Kansas City University of Medicine. She fell in love with the city and stayed for residency at The University of Missouri – Kansas City
She initially pursued medicine because she wanted to be a surgeon but along the way fell in love with women’s health. It’s such a unique but diverse population that requires careful attention from infancy to adulthood and beyond. She enjoys every aspect of this field but mostly being someone patients can confide in and also acting as a voice and advocate for them is the most fulfilling. She has a special interest in pediatric gynecology as well as helping patients navigate pelvic pain. She also feels very passionate about helping patient’s achieve a family centered delivery whether vaginally or by cesarean.
My goal is to make patients feel heard.
I want to create a comfortable and accepting environment so that patients feel they can discuss anything and everything. I want to foster a relationship of trust and compassion. I hope to express humility and grace during our patient-physician collaboration.
Outside of Work
Mama Bear
Her absolute favorite thing in the whole world is spending time with her 2 daughters. “I love watching them turn into little people”. She enjoys long distance running and hopes to complete her bucket list marathons NYC and Big Sur. “It’s getting a lot harder to put in the time to train as I get older and my kids get busier, but I set a goal a long time ago and I’m determined to do it. I want my girls to see me accomplish something great!”
